This was a very interesting interview. Are any of the books on tape? I am much better at listening to tapes as I exercise since I read at a 19 wpm rate. Besides, that approach gives me more time for writing.

Hi Hank!

I agree audio books are tremendously convenient as you can exercise, drive, etc while listening. Well, Jill should pop-in soon to see this interview and hopefully she can answer your question!

It's always interesting to read what makes successful writers tick. Now I'm off to look at the website.

Great. Another lover of tapes. I like them much more than the local TV presentations. Minnesota doesn't have a very good selection for morning TV. With tapes, I can listen to books that I love instead of watching people guess the price of a toothpick (the Price is Right).

LOL! I hate that show too, regardless of its popularity smile I checked amazon.com (and Jill's site) and saw no audiotaped versions of RASPBERRY CRUSH. But truly, I am the slowest reader (exact-same as you) and I couldn't put the book down, which made it read quickly! I hope this helps?

As my eyeballs get older, they tend to get lazier. That often leads to watching TV where the one-eyed monster sets the pace for assimilation.

Tapes offer the same advantage. One of these days, I'd love to get my own shorter works on tape as a collection of short shorts. I actually have enough published pieces that I could fill a book or two.

What a fascinating way of "assimilating" the mind-process during television-viewing or listening to audiobooks! Makes loads of sense!

Suite101 and Suite University have spoken of creating audiocourses before -- audiobooks would require the same mechanisms, far as I know. You might broach HO about this, as in "Best of Suite Audiobooks."

Great idea. Do you have enough pull to get them to consider the "Best of Suite Audiobooks?"

bici@suite101.com is Barb's email address if you don't already have it. She works on the Best of Suite E-Book Program with Bert, if this helps!
