» Mugwump53 - Presidential Trivia Question #90

Here is an easy one, in keeping with the day:

Who was the only President to be born on July 4th? Who were the only three Presidents to die on July 4th?

John Adams and Thomas Jefferson died on the fourth-same year even, didn't they?

Yes, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson died on the 4th of July in the same year. It was 1826, the 50th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Both were seriously ill, and struggled to see that day.

Only one more to go, plus the President born on July 4th.

I believe Monroe was the other President who died on the fourth of July in
1831 and Silent Cal Coolidge was born on July 4, 1872.

This is a good trivia for July Fourth. I hope you had a good holiday!

Thanks, Tina. We had a very nice day. Hope you did, too.

Time for a hint on this one: The third death was five years after the day John Adams and Thomas Jefferson died. The birhday was much later in the same century. Born to John and Victoria, a bouncing baby Republican!

(I wonder where Ossining is. It is not like him to let an easy one like this get by him.)

Ossining is still alive. I didn't think you wanted me to answer this one. The third death to occur on July 4 was in 1831 - James Monroe.
The only president born on the Fourth of July was Calvin Coolidge. Silent Cal was SO SILENT, he refused to cry when the doctor spanked his rump. Hahahaha (July 4, 1872)

Glad to hear you are alive and well, Ossining. {G}

I know this one was too easy for you, but fair is fair, and after 48 hours, you can jump all over it.

I thought Tina did very well to get John Adams and Thomas Jefferson. It seemed an appropriate July 4th question.

Congratulations to Tina and Ossining on getting two each.
