Hi John,When I read your preview last week, it slipped my mind that Taft was the president who wanted to serve on the Supreme Court instead of being President!
I didn't know that Taft asked Major Butt to help resolve the feud and that he died on the Titanic. That's very interesting. Did Roosevelt know why Butt was on the Titanic?
Fascinating article - I'm off to read part 2!
