What a wonderful article. I have always enjoyed reading about Henry Clay -- he was a fascinating man. Your telling of the duel between Clay and Randolph was very interesting. Very different times. I look forward to reading the second part.

I'd never heard this version of the duel. Excellent portrayal. You do a great job, oh, great writer!

By the way, thanks for the previous advice, but I decline for now. Want to go in another direction.
