» FortBrooke1824 - The election
I am very aware of the history making progess today. Last night according to WBNS-TV news someone using the name of "FRANKLIN COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS" were sending out notices to senior citizens that read. "Due to the heavy expected voter turn-out we are asking that Republicans please vote on Monday and Democrats on Wednesday"The lines are longer than any of our life time residents have seen them, far exceeding the Nixon Kennedy election of 1960.
I am resistered to vote in Georgia however according to the records here in Franklin County I am also resisered to vote here also. I don't know if I will be breaking any law but since I am resisted to vote in Franklin county I will attempt to vote.
According to some relatives someone has voted for me in past elections. I hope that does NOT happen today.
Also according to a late breaking story in Columbus an electric truck has been stolen. Some people fear the worst. I however like many other people will wait in line and be on the constant lookout for trouble. As some of you are aware President Bush is coming to Columbus, Ohio directly from Crawford, Texas. I sure don't want Columbus, to be another Dallas.
It is an election that I never will forget.

In response to The election posted by FortBrooke1824:Today is one of the most important days of our lifetimes. We choose between some one who has lied and deceived us and one who was not bought into office. Some of us will vote on health care, others on the economy, and some on education. But the one thing that we can't deny is the crisis in the Middle East. The war is this year's biggest issue. This next president can either get us out of this mess and save me from a draft. Or you can have some one who will protect the oil fields and not 380 tons of explosives. Nobody wants a draft but think about it Bush has shown no signs of withdrawing our troops. Do we want more of the same or a breath of fresh air. That is what this election is about.

» FortBrooke1824 - How did Bush do that?
Since I have also lived in Ohio and in Florida I have a unquine perspective on the election.Kerry took all of the major cities in Ohio with the exception of one.
Kerry won Dayton-Mongomery county
Cleveland- Cuyahoga county
Columbus-Franklin county
Canton-Stark county
Youngstown-Mahoning county
Arkron-Summit county
Toledo-Lucas county
Bush Cincinnati-Hamilton county
This is like saying that Kerry took
Jacksonville-Duvall county
Miama-Dade county
Orlando-Orange county
Tampa- Hillbourgh county
St.Petersburg-Pineallas county
Penascola-Escambria county
Fort Lauderdale-Broward county
And then saying the Bush took Tallahassee and most of the smaller counties like Henry and Dixie and Madison etc.
I don't understand it. LOL

In response to Re: The election posted by W_is_death:Drew,
I hope you voted. If you voted for Kerry, keep the faith, keep you chin up and keep working for real American values.
If you voted for Bush, quit your self-destructive behavior and get help. Ignorance is curable, and no longer carries the stigma once associated with it.
