» FortBrooke1824 - Mr. Cussler given credit for find Mug you could have had a celeb. visit your site. Many people including the US Navy have given Clive Cussler credit for finding the Hunley lost in Feb. of 64 in Charleston Harbor. So I guess we have to ask Clive Cussler if he is the same Clive Cussler that did so much work on the Hunley? -- posted by FortBrooke1824 » Mugwump53 - Re: Mr. Cussler given credit for find In response to message posted by FortBrooke1824:While I am certain that the great and famous come by this site often, this Clive Cussler is not yet famous (but keep an eye on him, because he just might be some day!). This Clive Cussler is a former (unfortunately) student of mine. His keen mind and unique viewpoint, as well as his excellent work ethic, character and personality, made him a delight to have in class. I hope he becomes a regular on this site, because he has a lot to offer. He picked his screen name after one of his favorite authors. -- posted by Mugwump53 » CliveCussler - Re: Re: Mr. Cussler given credit for find In response to message posted by Mugwump53:Thanks a lot Mr. Cooper!! Dr. Clive Cussler (New York Times bestselling author) did indeed find the Hunley. Actually people who work for his non-profit organization called NUMA (National Underwater and Marine Agency) found it. For more information go to the NUMA website at www.numa.net. -- posted by CliveCussler » FortBrooke1824 - Yes, your right Clive. Yes, your right Clive. Brian Hicks also has a day job as a reporter for a well known newspaper in Charleston.-- posted by FortBrooke1824
