Which First Lady #5

» Mugwump53 - Re: Which First Lady knew her future husband her entire life? In response to message posted by Red:There are several who fit that description. Francis Folsom Cleveland was raised, in part, by Grover Cleveland. She was his ward after her father, Cleveland's partner, died, even though her mother was still alive and also helped raise her. She called him "Uncle Cleve" until shortly before he proposed to her. Bess and Harry Truman grew up together. Edith Roosevelt was a cousin of Theodore, and also grew up with him, often spending long periods of time at the home of Theodore's family. Did I mention the one you were looking for? This was another good question. -- posted by Mugwump53 » Red - Re: Re: Which First Lady knew her future husband her entire life In response to message posted by Mugwump53:John, Thanks for giving me the information on the First Ladies that knew their husbands all of their lives. Yes, you did mention the one I was looking for. Edith Roosevelt. She knew her husband from infancy is what my information said. I do appreciate you filling me in on all the other First Ladies that knew their husbands from childhood. I always learn something when I visit your topic. Now, I need to go and find a more difficult question. -- posted by Red » Red - Re: Re: Which First Lady knew her future husband her entire life In response to message posted by Mugwump53:John, Thanks for giving me the information on the First Ladies that knew their husbands all of their lives. In response to message posted by jerrib:Jerri, I would be delighted to have you join in. There are so many questions to be answered about First Lady's and I'm learning a lot while I'm looking for ones that might stump John and ossing. Please join in the fun. -- posted by Red
