I was brought up Sou. Bapt. and converted to Catholicism.

Catholicism teaches that in Christ there is no division in the Church - in this life or the next. Therefore we can ask those gone before us to intercede for us in our challenges. We are all alive in Christ!

I hate being hospitalized and when going through a procedure I say "Catholic prayers" and sing "Baptist hymns" - which ever comes to my mind first!! I was just a singing one night in the hospital and a nurse came in saying, "You must be in a good mood."

My answer, "No, I am not. I am in terrible pain and this is how I cope." She said she'd have to recommend my "therapy" to other patients.
