hello!! i am very confused right now because i think i had a chemical pregnancy recently. last week, i took a home pg test and it came out faintly positive. the next day i took another test and it came out negative!! i was so upset. i still haven't gotten my period yet, and my doctor wants me to come in and see him this week if i still haven't gotten it, by wednesday. any advice on my situation?-- posted by mikismom

In response to message posted by mikismom:It does sound like a chemical pregnancy, faint positive on pregnancy test, late period. Might be beneficial to have a blood test done to completely rule out pregnancy. You should start a regimen of "fertility boosters" - vitamin B6, progesterone cream, maybe even baby aspirin to help prevent another chemical pregnancy. I have never heard about nor has my doctor's every discussed a "fertility booster". Can you please give me more information as to how the vitamin B6 is given (via injection or oral vitamin)and how does the baby aspirin work? I will definitely bring this up with my doctor's. Thank you so much.

Hi. I am possibly experiencing a chemical pregnancy right now. I am at the most 3 weeks past point of conception. My cycle was pretty screwed up this last time - period came one week early and then I apparently ovulated about 7 days late. I had a blood test last week which indicated an hCG of 119 which increased only to 138 almost 4 days later. In addition, I am having mild cramping and brown spotting.My doctor has suggested that the low hCG level could be due to the fact that I am so early into my pregnancy - or that it could be a chemical pregnancy. I know very little about the symptoms of a cp. Can you tell me if this sounds like what is going on - or could the low levels just be due to my being so early on in pregnancy?

I just experienced a chemical pregnancy, On Friday Oct 7th I had a blood test which was positive with a HCG level of 232, by Sunday Oct 9th I started to have a brownish pink discharge, I went to the E.R. they gave me another blood test which came out to be a HCG level of 74, I started to get mild cramps and then bled for one day. By thursday Oct 13th I got another blood test and it was down to 13. So the dr.'s told me I had a chemical pregnancy and miscarried. It was upsetting! I wish you the best of luck!

I just had a chemical miscarriage last week. I found out I was pregnant, went to the Dr. to find out my HcG level was 233. Two days later, it had dropped to 195. By the end of the week, I miscarried.My husband and I would like to start again as soon as possible. I've heard that you are most fertile directly after a miscarriage. Is this true or is it best to wait. I've heard so many different waiting periods that I'm not sure what to believe.

I had my tubes cut and burned 6 years ago but 3 months ago I had a positive pregnancy test and a late period. I started bleeding 8 days after my period was supposed to start....but the whole confusion is I had my tubes tied so what exactly happens with a chemical pregnancy? Does the sperm and egg actually meet in the tube? Or does the miscarriage take place in the uterus? If any of this is true then maybe my tubes reconnected somehow??!??-- posted by babeinthecloud

Hi Lori! I have had 3 chemical pregnancys in the 7 months I have been ttc. I had CD bloodwork done once, and FSH was 11.4, but had antral follicle count of 14, which seems ok. I wasreading what you wrote about progesterone cream and wanted to find out if you think I should try it. Is there any down side to it? I had
progesterone tested once in the middle to end of my luteal phase and it was 12.4, which I think is in the normal range. I am supposed to
have an endometrial biopsy this cycle, and was not supposed to ttc this month, but I had egg white CM for the first time since going off the
pill and thought maybe that was a good sign so I tried anyway. would hate to think that I am finally dropping a good egg and missed
it......was thinking the chem pregs were from chromosomal abnormalities, now am
wondering.....any advice?
