» lmctwins - conceiving While I have heard that being on Depo Provera stalls conceiving, I had the opposite problem. I got off the shot to switch to a new birth control and I got pregnant in 3 weeks...WITH TWINS!!! I was under the impression that it would take awhile to get pregnant and I didn't have to worry about it. I WAS WRONG!! Of course fertility is different for every woman, but don't just blame the shot if you are not getting pregnant. This is rare, and one thing the Depo shot does is unbalance the hormones - I suppose with you it worked in the opposite direction! I suppose you could blame the Depo shot on your ovulating TWICE! In any case, I hope it all works out for you! But I am still battling 14 months later. Not fair!!
