» rdrnr - Satellite Home Viewers Act

I'm a Direct TV subscriper, and I live in an area where network television reception is poor. The passing of this act not only serves to alienate the satellite subscriber, but makes one choose not to watch Network Television at all. Even though I have an antenna, I just get fuzzy transmissions. Seems to me that the Big 4 Networks would want to increase viewership, not chase them away. That is exactly what they have done to me. NBC, ABC, CBS, and FOX are also guilty of increasing volume levels when a commercial is on...What is this all about? Are they also incurring that we are deaf and stupid? I have also noticed that there are also more commercials now. I'll stick with channels like A&E, TLC, Discovery, and The History Channel, you won't see the kind of crap on those channels that you will on the Broadcast Networks.
Thanks for letting me vent. RDRNR

Thanks for your post. Of course, you are free to vent here whenever you want.

I too and a DirecTV subscriber and am upset with the recent cave-in by the company to the local affiliates.
