» mscjweeks - Seeking to Find Others with Possible Same Origin

I have been suffering with neuropathic pain in both feet for approximately five years. In the past two years, the pain has become constant, ever increasing and is always at it's maximum at night. I describe my pain as a stiff numbness on the bottom of my feet with burning, shooting pain throughout the entire foot and the inability to flex my toes normally. My feet have not suffered injury, but I did suffer severe edema in my feet for years from many different hypertensive drugs. My doctor and I believe that my neuropathic pain was produced by the years of severe edema resulting in permanent nerve damage to my feet. I would like to hear from anyone else who may be suffering from the same circumstances. I am beginning treatment with Neurontin and I am hoping that it will help alleviate some of my pain.
