» Sybella1225 - It's what's inside that counts

Thank you for writing this article. As a plus size woman I have been struggling with my weight for years and put off going to many occasions because I was em
barrassed by my size. Those I did go to I didn't really enjoy because I was so caught up in what I thought other people were saying about me. It wasn't until recently when one of my own friends didn't come to my daughters wedding because of all the weight she had gained. I didn't care what her weight was and I am sure no one else did either. The fact was, I missed sharing such a happy event in my life with her. It was then that I realized I had done the same thing all these years. I hid from life because of my size.It is very difficult to go out in public when you are a plus size person but thanks to articles like these it helps you realize it's what's inside is that counts and not what the scale says.

In response to message posted by Sybella1225:

Hi Sybella. I really do sympathise with you - and I am so glad that you have decided to take control and do what you want to do.

I hope that you have fun experiencing life - and remember that those who comment on your size are merely rude and ill-bred persons who you would not want to associate with anyway.

» Skye22 - Wedding on August 31, 2002

Thank you so much for writing an article that I, and many other plus sized women can relate to. I am getting married August 31, and I've been spending so much time worrying about my weight and how I'll look in my dress, when I should be concentrating on what's more important - the meaning of our day...the love that has brought he and I together. Thanks for the support.
