» Jo Murphy - Puppet Show

Do you see writing a puppet show as similar to writing a play?
I am about to emabark on a puppet show and I am interested to find all the support I can.

I write the topic Mural Creation so I figure I am OK with Back drops however even there there could be a lot I just don't know I will read the lot of your articles over the Christmas break so expect to see me around.
Stay happy and gentle,
Jo

In response to message posted by brisbaneartist:

In the main sense, all writing will be similar, in that you are telling a story, have characters you want the audience to be able to identify with, and will be writing dialogue that moves the story forward, helps describe the characters, and gives the audience the information they need to understand where the story is going.

The fact that it is a puppet show is beyond these main points. However, when working with younger audiences, you may need more detailed explanations and information than you might use for adult audiences.

The backdrops and scenery will certainly be a focal point for the audience, but it is an interesting story that will ultimately hold their attention.
