Not sure if it is dialogue or if ever been on stage, but my favorite opening sentence is "Call me Ishmael." Being from the SC low country, when I do write with dialogue, I enjoy using Gullah. Enjoyed your article and your examples.-- posted by Dubh_Sidhe
