King Edward said:

King Edward:"Go ye back and tell them who sent you to trouble me no more" etc.,

From the kings vantage point on the brow of the hill at the rear he could see that most of the battle was over. King Edward did however send the bishop of Durham with a group of men to urge a push from the right to deter from his son's most vulnerable position in the centre of the field, the kings "principal" battle.
