Hi CindyI was fascinated by your article as I am working on a novel called 'Pickle to Pi' based on a German family immigrating to Australia in 1885. The conditions for passengers on the sailing ship Taomina was the same as experienced by your pirates and seamen. It makes you shiver just thinking about living like that for six months, doesn't it.
