Thank you for these articles - I have been reading them with interest. Its funny, I have been taking photos since I was a child, but never regarded photography as one of my hobbies! It has also been adjunct to my other pastimes - photographing horses, dogs, gardens, interior decoration and my daughter.

However, since I got my new digital camera it seems that photography has escalated into a hobby in its own right. Being able to enlarge, crop and reprint my photos in my own home, whenever I want, seems to have made the whole activity more absorbing and exciting.
