Wendy Photography for me tends to be a side line of my other pursuits. So even if the result is not a photographic masterpiece the subject matter still has some value for me. I know what you mean about too many hobbies and not enough time. I feel the same way. Compared to the masters, none of us ever creates a masterpiece. . .only one better than the last one. Often the downfall of most flower photographs is a distracting background. Funny thing, tho - when my son was an infant and toddler, we took hundreds of pictures, but now he's ten and have realized we haven't taken very many the last few years. It is the same way in our house. When they were little I took tons of photos of them. We have four. now that I do photography as a business I can never get them into the studio.
