» Travelsleuth - Intramuros

A fascinating article. I never realised how interesting Manila is. Are there hotels in Intramuros? Is the food in restaurants there philipinne or Spanish orientated?

Thanks for liking my story and for being interested in Manila. Yes, there is a hotel in Intramuros, it is the "Hotel Intramuros" at the Gen. Luna St. Its standard room accomodation costs $40, while the de luxe is $50. Both inclusive of a set breakfast. There are plenty of restaurants inside the walls serving international cuisine, but if you are looking for Spanish and Filipino specialties, I will recommend Cafe Barbara and Illustrado. Both are in Gen. Luna St. and walking distance from the Hotel Intramuros (especially the Cafe Barbara which is litterally almost at the hotel's door-steps).

so when are you coming over? I'll always have time to tour you.

» Red - Great article...

Eva,

This is a great article. I found it both interesting and informative and have selected it as the article, "In the Spotlight" at the Travel Center this week. Congratulations on a job well done.
