rathealth: my rat has scabs too

» alleycat29 - my rat has scabs too My rat has scabs as well. When I first got him I noticed them and took him to the vet. The vet said that he had mites and I treated him as described by the vet. I took him back for a checkup and the vet told me that he was cured. Although the mites are gone he still has scabs. He is my only rat so I know that he didn't get it from another animal. It seems to be a nervous habit. Should I take him back to the vet?-- posted by alleycat29
