Hi Laura,

Just a thought about your little cute rat. I believe that your baby has probably had a stroke. If he does not eat and does not move much, he is probably in pain. I know it is harsh, but you may have to put him down. I had a rat just like that and when I called the animal hospital and relayed what was wrong, they suggested to put him down. I did not. I let him continue to live as long as he could. I could not help it, I loved him so much and did not want to lose him. It is up to you.

I have 12 rats now. After 10 dying over the last two months, I just had to replace them.

If you want, you can try to buy Echinacea (a tincture in 1 or 2 oz sizes) and see if that will help him. Any local vitamin store has it.

Hope this helps.

Rosette
