Hi Robert - how nice of you to post here. I like blue alot too and find myself naturally attracted to it, especially the very soft tones.

Dusk is indeed the magic hour for blues. Is it the evening sun's orange glow and sharp angle? Who knows? In any case, dusk is the time I normally enjoy my garden anyway. I don't have much time in the morning for admiring my garden, but sometimes I think about it as I doze away in bed until the last minute.

I live in Vancouver now, although I was born in Toronto. I've been to Boston once, years ago -- beautiful city you have there...
