Birds cost money,and you have to be prepared. It isnt just the cost of the bird to be considered-cage,food,toys,vet bills,etc...it adds up. I f you really are looking for a money saver and not a loving bond with an animal,you probably dont want a bird.Theya lso require dedication and alot of love and attention.

I suppose you could get a finch if you really want a bird....

I agree with Theresa on this. Before I got my macaw, I did 2 things-lots and lots of research from every possible source to determine what type of bird was right for me and some soul searching on whether or not I was ready for this type of committment. I liken it to having a child.
