» Zanzi - Great advice!

Thank you for dispelling the myth that those with babies will live the life of a shut-in! Nothing is further from the truth, and, I found, it is better for the baby to be taken along outside the house, than lingering at home with an unhappy parent or a babysitter. While there are times and locations where taking junior would be inappropriate, more often than not the baby should come along, thus learning early how to act and enjoy a wide variety of social settings.

Great article!

Yes, and was my friend glad when I told her this too. She assumed that she could take her baby out to places with her - but being a new mom; was a bit hesitant. I visited her in the hospital yesterday and she was having tons of people hold her new baby girl - she's off to a good start already with not being an overprotective mom.

» jerrib - I can't imagine

thinking life is over just because you have a baby. Ours grew up in the car, going everywhere. They were always great travelers and enjoyed life right along with us. True, there are some places they can't go, but we found changing our lifestyle a bit was no big deal.

Just bringing this up for another read. Good advice, Carrie.
