teen throws everything out

It may not sound like a problem, but it really is. My teenager throws everything out including a lot of my things. I have to look through the garbage to see what she has thrown out all the time. I know she does this as a stress reliever, but I don't know what to do. Does anyone else have this or a similar problem? And any suggestions?

Sometimes throwing things out is a reaction to feeling overwhelmed by life. Also, is she neat by nature and living amongst others who prefer to accumulate and leave alot of stuff around? Suggest giving things away to good will and make it clear that she is not to touch other's belongings. If the environment is messy, and she craves order, try to make some reasonable compromises. Hope this helps.
