» Purpleflame - Great article!

Excellent criteria for joining any group; be it religious, social, what have you.
My son and I have started our own coven, and your points are well taken for founders or leaders of a coven.

» isabee - I agree

Yep, great advice - sometimes I think there isn't nearly enough information telling people to trust their instincts re. groups. Have you read the material at witchvox on selecting a teacher?

No, I haven't. I'll look for it the next time I stop in. There are also a couple books which address this issue. Inside a Witch's Coven, and Coven Craft.

Blessings,

» shaku08 - freinds for a coven

All the people in my coven were my friends before we chose to become a coven. To me, a coven should be a group of friends. You are not afraid to express your feelings. My friends have slightly diffrent ideas on religion, that way we can converse and learn more about our spirituality.
