The Study of the Dark God free online course for Pagans (and non-Pagans, but primarily designed for those of Pagan faith!) is about to finish its first run. I am very happy with the results and I think the students have enjoyed it!Since we're 1 week away from course completion, the course will be open for enrollment again come next week. Basically it's an 8 week course of study at a profesional course site, done online through message boards and drop boxes and the like. It focuses on the Dark God in his aspects of God of Underworld, God of Death, etc. and his various guises all around the world, including Greek/Roman, Celtic, Norse, Egyptian, Voodoun, Native American & more...as well as covering death & dying, grief, grieving and mourning, and how the difficult subject of death is dealt with in various cultures (unfortunately, very timely in light of the recent disasters in the US). Also covers burial customs and festivals like Samhain, Day of the Dead, etc. There is also a week to study misconceptions about Paganism and the Dark God, including the "branding" of Pagans as Satanists.
I hope you will consider joining me for the second run of this course. I worked very hard (for well over 6 months) in the planning and building of the course, and I am pleased to see our first class graduate
