Back from Summer/ New Policies
This archived discussion is "read only".
» LadyKelien - I'm back Hey everyone, Im back from my extended vacation. While I was gone I had a chance to think about this topic and how I have been running the discussion board.Though I do not believe that anyone should judge others spiritual beliefs or condium them for those beliefs, perhaps I was to harsh on my no debating beliefs policies. At the time I created these policies, I did not know how to convey to everyone my feelings on these types of dicussions. I believe now that I can do that. I do not mind people talking about what they believe. What bothers me is when people start quoting book chapter and verse to prove that someone else is evil. We no longer live in the burning times. Those who choice to believe that I will go to hell for my beliefs have every right to believe that. Just as I have every right to request they not try to convert me. It is an impossible task and there isn't a pagan in the United States that needs to be told we are going to hell if we don't change. We already know that is the prodominate view of Christains. So instead of banning all discussion of religions that are not pagan in nature, I am simply going to ask that you do not make posts that suggest we are mis guided, going to hell or are full of abiguious bible quotes most Pagans won't even bother to read. If on the other hand you want to talk in a rational manner about how paganism and christianity are simmilar or different be my guest. Just remember to keep it polite, nonconfrontational, and limited to what you believe, not what you think your suppose to say you believe. I hope this policy change is agreeable to everyone. I will still delete any posts that tell me I am going to hell. My usual reply to that kind of thing can be found on a bummper sticker but isn't the nices thing in the world to say to someone. So instead of saying it, I will just delete those messages. Keep it civil and nonjudgemental and I will be happy to debate religion with you all day long. -- posted by LadyKelien -- posted by plox
