» themos100 - Plain good sense I think you hit the nail on the head when you talk about doing things which are outside our value system. I wonder if this sort of thing becomes easier, the longer you've lived on this planet?I seem to value "peace of mind" nowadays above the thrill of . . . well, whatever I used to do but shouldn't! It might be more difficult to convince my young-adult children that they shouldn't run up credit-card debt, drink too much or live on fast food. Tom -- posted by themos100 » flybaby - stressors That makes a ton of sense to me, actually. All of it. I think for me, a stressor is procrastination. I know I have something to do and I put it off till the last minute. Well, I stress about it, think about it, worry about it, do it 100 times in my head and then run around like a mad woman at the last minute trying to accomplish this goal I have made in my mind that is near impossible to do. If I just did it and got it over with, I would eliminate all that period of sress I am under till the last moment, as well as the last moment stress of rushing around to get it done in time!-- posted by flybaby » JudyBrown - Re: stressors In response to message posted by flybaby:Thanks for stopping by Shell, yes procrastination is a biggie. I have to admit to this one myself. You're right too, it is a big stressor that can really cause problems. I agree that we spend a lot of time thinking about what it is we AREN'T doing, thanks for reminding me on this. -- posted by JudyBrown
