Great article, Judy!
I have a filing system, but it's not nearly so neat or organized. My computer files, they *are* very organzied and easy to find. My desk and filing cabinets, well, they're not neat, but I can find everything.
Last week my oldest son (age 11) went to my office to find my stash of scotch tape. He was gone a long time. Didn't return with any tape. We were out. The next day when I went to my office, it was totally reorganized. The stacks of books and file folders I had scattered all over my desk, grouped with the different projects I was working on were gone! I couldn't find a thing. I thanked him for cleaning up my office, but I told him that I liked it the way it was, because I could find everything. I couldn't find my thesaurus for two days. He said to me, "How can you work? If I were a writer, my desk wouldn't be as messy as yours." Ah, kids.
As for the rest of the house, he has carte blanche in organizing it. He does a fantastic job, and things are easily found.
Thanks for another good article...Marie
