Getting Organized? It's Your ChoiceRead the article this discussion is about
This archived discussion is "read only".
» Rosee - Good Article! Hi Judy!I enjoyed this article very much! You have made the art of making decision making quite simple and I have been trying in the last year to do exactly what you have describe here in this article. Yesterday was such a gorgeous day and I waffled between going out to take some photos at a favorite place by a creek or vac the house. The photo's won out and my reasoning to go was right on...today it is snowing so hard and I wouldn't beable to get near the creek. I wish I had made choices like this when my boys were young instead of "doing the ironing". Now I am off to read your other articles and subscribe to your topic. Thank you very much for reading my article and I'm really glad you are going to get alerted to new ones! Is this Suite 101 great or not? I just put this article up and already you were kind enough to read it and take time to make a comment. Thank you very much for the feedback. Let me know if there is anything in particular you'd like me to write about. And I bet the pics you took yesterday will be awesome. -- posted by JudyBrown » Rosee - Re: Good Article! In response to Re: Good Article! posted by JudyBrown:Have to agree about Suite101 being a great place! I have been in here for quite awhile now being one of the Fibro Friends and have taken a few courses as well. Now if I can get de-cluttered finally....the trick is to stay that way. With all the mail we get, 90% of it being junk I try to deal with it right away throwing anything that is not needed right in the garbage can. Paper can build up so fast becoming quite a mess and something that is really needed can be lost in the shuffle. I hate to leave any mail for my husband to open because he makes just a mess and mixes all the junk mail with the bills....LOL! My next big job is to start junking out the basement and that is a huge job. We tend to gather up replacement dishes, glasses etc for the suites that we rent out monthly. These suites are all stocked with dishes, pots, pans cutlery etc but I have saved a way too many items. I have said that I am going to have a garage sale a million times but my fibro gets in the way of my plans. So I am going to get it ready to give to a charity that will be having a big garage sale in the spring. They said that they would come over and pack it away which is a bonus as far as I am concerned. -- posted by Rosee » tamara_peters - Re: Good Article! In response to Good Article! posted by Rosee:Hey, Mare! I just spotted Judy's article as well, and just had to read it. You KNOW how organized I am. LOL Loved the article, Judy. I was chuckling at the end about the boiling water trick, though. Wish someone had told me that one long ago. :O Since I'm the world's worst procrastinator I sure need a lot of help.. I would love to share this info with the Fibro Friends. Disorganization is something we all have in common I'm afraid. Tamara -- posted by tamara_peters » Rosee - Re: Re: Good Article! Anything that would help us be more organized would be such a great help. I loved the boiling water trick too and must admit I have done something like that myself...LOLOL! And you and Rosee and all your fibro friends would be fun to have in my Conquering Chaos workshop. Why not get together for the next session and I'll work with you all every day for a month! -- posted by JudyBrown » Rosee - Re: Good Article! In response to Re: Re: Re: Good Article! posted by JudyBrown:Hi Judy! Sounds like a cool idea and we will put the word out for sure. I don't know if you know much about fibro and all that goes along with it, the list is endless. But it is quite hard for fibro people to commit to daily appointments let alone do them due to not knowing from minute to the next what our bodies are going to surprise us with. But I will tell everyone over there and you are more than welcome to come over for a visit. You don't have to have fibro to benefit from our group. As a matter of fact we had a thread going with tons of helpful hints to get along with our chores..I will see if I can find it for you..someday...LOL! I must admit that I managed to organize and throw away quite a bit around here. I just love throwing things away....one less thing to find a home for...LOL! I think I can safely say that my organizing ideas are a little bit different from the usual ones and much more tailored to the individual and their own special challenges. Thanks for thinking about joining me in the workshop, I hope some of you will come on in. -- posted by JudyBrown
