» Tina_Coruth - I love roses!

Hi Sue,

What could be lovelier than a "roses" tour! Thank you.

Also, at the SHORE ACRES STATE PARK site, the crane pictured there looks just like the one that stops in my back yard occasionally. Do you suppose...

as much as I've traveled Oregon I've never been to one of the beautiful rose gardens you mention. Thanks for the tour.

In response to message posted by Tina_Coruth:

Maybe your crane came out here for vacation! smile Check with Kirk Johnson - he goes there often.

I wish we could smell the places pictured. The scent at the Int'l Test Garden is so supremely winey.

Oh Jerri! You absolutely must stop by one of these with a picnic and bottle of wine!

» Red - Wow!!!

Sue, thanks for sharing all of these Rose Gardens of Oregon. Roses are one of my favorite flowers. I would love to see the International Rose Test and Sunken Rose Gardens. They are beautiful, I know.

About a 30 minute drive from here, we have the Royal Botanical Rose Garden. It is lovely all summer long. Great place to take the kids and it is free. Not many places like that around any more.

Take care my friend. I look forward to your next article. I always enjoy my visits here.

Thanks so much! I know it's not too near you, but we enjoy going up to the Butchart Garden near Victoria BC. It's amazingly beautiful!
