» imawkward - Here's something simple to remember... If it's green, it's good. If the whole spike turns brown and dries up, then it's fine to remove it. The tip may start turning brown, but don't cut it off until the whole thing has dried up.After spikes are spent, meaning all blooms have dropped, sometimes the orchid will rebloom from the very same spike. Keep watering your orchid normally and fertilizing. It doesn't happen that often, but it can. I just experience this for the very first time with my phal and I've been growing orchids for years. -- posted by imawkward
