Thanks for the great article!

I've been thinking of getting a laptop that I'd hook up with my old (current Windows98) PC with a router. Your article sure made it sound simple!

Having done the hub and the router network, I would recommend a router. I like the idea of not relying on one computer to be the server.

My son has a laptop for school and he can bring it home and just plug it in for instant internet access. He can also plug it in at school. He carries the network cable with him.

I think you will find a network very handy for transferring files and sharing a printer. It is easy to install.
