Thanks much for your comments! This was really a life-changing experience for me.

I did tell this friend, though, that I was drawing the line at swimming with sharks. I had a recurring dream in my younger years of something getting hold of me under the water when I was in a lake. So I can't stand the thought of a fish or something else touching me underwater without my knowing it is going to do so. Hence, my apprehension of crawling through the stream with my hands! So I think I've licked that part of it, but am definitely not ready to put my whole body at risk.
