» danger1577 - A book with no dialogue

Though the book is not necessarily fiction, it could be. For arguments sake let's assume WALDEN is fiction. At any rate it is at least a story. How can a book that is fiction have no dialogue and still be so wonderful? I have pondered this for a year now and have no valid answer yet. There really isn't even a story in this book. It is simply one man's thoughts on life. So what do we make of all the things we read about fiction, and how there needs to be action to involve the reader, and dialogue, etc., when there seems to be none of that in WALDEN, yet it is a wonderful book? How does this book work without any dialogue, and without any real "action?" Why does this book work so well?
