Don't know if this is the right place to ask; but, I have been catalog shopping for some time now. We are in a very rural area and catalogs are my only hope for my garden needs. I have been using row covers in my vegetable garden for the last few years and they are great! All my brassicas and celery have thrived under cover...no insects coupled with a mulch to relieve the weeding chores, I can maintain a 6000 sq ft garden without help or pain. This year I want to try the Agriforce Ag-19 cover which is sturdier than what I have been using. I can find it in only one catalog and that company is on the West Coast...shipping is awful pricey! Does anyone have a source on the East Coast for this product. The Internet has a lot of info on row covers but almost everything is in California, Oregon, Washington. Does nobody but me use this in the New England area? Comments would be appreciated. Also, Johnny's is a great source for northern variety seeds...along with Pinetree. I have grown their okra varieties with great success as well as melons and eggplant (black plastic mulch helps bring soil temperature up earlier) and my celery was awesome last year especially for a beginner with that plant.
