My mother loves train trips so I like to think up mystery trips to take her on. One was a train trip across Canada and back. It was awesome!I don't know if you are interested in short trips. There is a Royal Hudson steam train trip from North Vancouver to Squamish. It is very scenic and you can take a boat one way a train the other. A fun day trip on an old and famous steam train. British Columbia rail also goes up to Prince George and I'm told it is also a scenic and interesting trip. -- posted by Maryel
