» Tina_Coruth - I didn't find any relatives, either.

Hi Mark,

I didn't find any of my relatives, either. However, it was well worth looking. These websites were very interesting, especially the first one -- the Army listings of the Medal of Honor recipients. The stories are fascinating. I didn't realize that they are online. Thanks!!
Tina

» DumondFamily - Records of heroic actions

Hi Mark, A resource which your readers may not be aware of is the U.S. Library of Congress, and especially such items as: The Papers of George Washington in the Library of Congress. I found nearly the complete story of a Revolutionary War event in which my third great grandfather, HHarmonusDDumondwas killed. I am building a web site in which I am using the data found in George Washington's Papers to correct to misinformation that has been published about this event which can be seen at: http://rarowe14617.tripod.com/ Robert A, RoRowe

In response to message posted by DumondFamily:

Great stuff! Finding things like you did, Robert, is a one of those really neat things you may find while searching for your ancestors.

I hope others are as lucky as you in finding such historical documents that record some of the life on their ancestors.
