Does anyone know of a listing of those folk who lost their lives in this disaster? We have a story in my husband's family that his relative, Noel Winsbury WHITE was the purser on the vessel.

There is a great book called 'the Wreck of the Penguin' by B E Collins- it probably will have the information you are after
If you're in New Zealand it should be at the local library- if not let me know and I can have a look for you.
