GST Starting in Australia 1 July

New Zealand's had GST for a good few years now, but I can recall when it came it, and it was a bit of a shock to all- but in time it's just another tax that you barely notice.GST here is just on everything, so I think Australia's version is alittle different (something about processed and unprocessed food I think) All I can say is its traumatic at first... but once you forget you're paying 15% more its fine ! ; ) -- posted by PhilippaJane
