Bon Voyage, Lynda - have a wonderful time in all those beautiful gardens :-]

Howie, aren't the NZ gardens wonderful? When you visit them, you feel the personal love and dedication of the garden owner. Combine that with the marvellous volcanic soil and that adds up to a very good garden

The most lasting impression I have of a New Zealand garden was in Whakarewarewa where steam rose up from the ground from several spots. It was startling.
Kay and I fell in love with New Zealand and the month we were there was all too short a time. If only the lands down under were a bit closer to us.

» LyndaH - Thanks for the travel wishes!

I will have a wonderful time I'm sure. But I must say, since I wrote this article, summer seems to have arrived again. We have had a string of glorious days, hot and sunny. Most bizarre!

» CarolWallace - You are so smart!

Creating holes now is a very wise move - because if you are anything like me when you travel, you will come home with a hundred new ideas and a thousand things you want to try - and you have wisely left yourself some room to maneuver.

Have a wonderful time!!
