Thanks so much for your input. Always appreciated.

I particularly enjoyed writing this article because I, more than most, need the constant reminder!

In response to message posted by RichardSpeaks:

To answer a question not asked in this thread and not asked of me...I wound up here because I liked your articles enough to subscribe to the topic months ago.

Whenever a new article appears, or a discussion is active, it shows up on my "What's New" page.
I was just about to enter the current discussion but decided not to...since I didn't have a question to ask you.

Oh, the reason for bumping this thread up?
I reread an article at random to jog my memory of why I had subscribed to your topic.

» SNOWBALL14 - Very good article! Now how do we DO it?

Unfortunately, the people who most need to re-evaluate and take the author's advice are probably the least likely to review this article. This being human nature, let’s talk about some practical ways to do the things the article suggests. Maybe we can all learn something and draw attention to ideas for positive action rather than negative reaction to the usual nonsense that happens at this site in general.

Any ideas?

In response to message posted by SNOWBALL14:

Self discovery for example.

A problem many people have with self discovery is their guilty conscience. They've been led to believe they are sinful and that they deserve to spend eternity in the pits of the burning limestone in Hell. What disgusting people they must be at their core.

Rather than accept God's grace in liberty to be themselves, they try to suppress their dispicable self--but it just gets more ugly. You've probably noticed it in the sites where those who claim to be the peddlars of truth hang out.

The discovery of self requires we be at liberty from the bondage that keeps us chained to someone else's authority over us.

Thanks for bumping this thread. I enjoyed it before, and still do. An appropriate and timely reminder, imo. smile

"I gave a letter to the postman
He put it in his sack
But early next morning
He brought my letter back"

The postie aint so quick here in OZ so a failed communication can take a lil longer.

The article was greater than the sum total of its 597 words, Rev Richard. smile

I am not sure that a guilty conscience is the problem for some folks, although I do know that self-discovery works well for most of us. smile

» Pinky102 - Self Discovery

In response to message posted by SNOWBALL14:

That was one of the steps, right?

Self-discovery is key.

There are those who want you to subdue your self and to take on their description of who it is you should be.

Have you noticed?

smile

That was my point.

Thanks much. It had been awhile since I read my own article. I actually enjoyed it, this time from the perspective of 'the reader.'
