It's interesting. . .

Jesus said, in Luke 17:21, that the kingdom of God is within us, hence, personal responsibility. So what did we do? We killed him because we don't want to take personal responsibility. Do unto others? Only if there is a big payoff and little effort!

Like all things there is perversion...
Do unto others, before they do unto you.
The last man standing wins.
The one with the most toys wins.

These are all real and used sayings from a generation of people who think the 'world owes them a living' and they are going to collect...one way or another.

Its too bad the world we actually live in has dismissed the important messengers. smile

That's why it's up to us who teach peace to become the messengers instead of complaining about those who don't listen. Kinda like we're doing here, don't ya think? (ha, ha!)

Much love to you...

As in Spiritual Healing...it about the healer giving without expectation of result?

That's right. In order to be healed. . .of anything, the healed one must be willing to receive it--not take it--receive it. Big difference. Many are not willing to receive healing. They are afraid of change, even good change. They enjoy, at some level, the complaining and seeing themselves as victim. Their choice.

And the instrument of the healing must be wary of adopting the position "I can Heal!" The responsibility for all healing (as in thought) is with the individual.

Indeed. No one heals anyone else. We can be conduits through which the message flows, but even the healing energy does not come from the "healer." The "healee" has all the power; perhaps not the knowledge. Healers provide knowledge--essential knowledge to be sure. But only the individual can heal him/herself. Even medicine has its limits, as you well know.

There is a source of energy that comes from on high. Call it what you will...we call it The Great Unseen Healing Force. Healers of themselves have no power to heal....they can only channel the energy they receive through their attunement with the spirit energies.

The patient/healee has to want the law-governed change to occur. They can block the actual healing. But they are not responsible for the energy that does the healing.

". . .they are not responsible for the energy that does the healing."

Ah, but they are. This is where I take a bit of issue with those who believe the way you do. I am not challenging you; I don't know (anything!) for sure. But I believe this: we are all part and parcel of the One Energy, the One Power, the One Presence. We are, in fact, God stuff. Consequently, the "energy" does not travel from an outside source to an inside source. The energy is already within us (Jesus: the kingdom of God is within you. Lk 17:21). We simply awaken it. It often takes outside influence to get us to do that, but ultimately, we are indeed our own healers. That's the true gift of the universe. That's why religions like Buddhism stress awakening rather than salvation.

"Jesus said ... that the kingdom of God is within us ... So what did we do? We killed him ..."
I'm not buying that! It was the illiberals (new and meaningful word I learned) who killed him and who would kill him today. And it is the illiberals who would kill the liberals of the day if they could only get away with it. Hands down!!

BTW, has anyone noticed how the archived articles in R&S have been excluded from your access? I asked Zanzi about it a couple of days ago; but, as yet, she has not responded. All other discussion threads are available. Also, if you try to access one of the R&S threads, you're likely to get an error message that blocks your entry.
