First, thanks for all the marvelous posts. Poor ol' Pinky102 is looking for this sort of thing. He'll get it, I'm sure.

Anyway, speaking of flutes, I want to toot my own flute here. Along with ministry in spoken word, I also sing. I play piano, so I have an electric keyboard loaded with all kinds of acoutrements. I have a 4 track recording studio and CD burners. I have created a number of tapes and such of myself playing, and doing three part harmony back up so I can use the tapes in the churches where I minister. Now, the Northwest New Thought Minisiters Association is planning a grand New Thought concert here in Portland in January 2006 and I have been invited to participate. To say the least, I am thrilled. My project now is to create enough new music to establish a new CD. When it's ready, you guys might want a copy. I may even give it to you free. Maybe!!! Ha.

I've always envied people who can play the piano well. I can't resist banging out a childish Twinkle Twinkle Little Star when I come upon some pearlies. Pretty lame, ay? My mom played wonderfully - show tunes and jazz mostly.

Do you have music samples or previews online? I'd love to hear some. What kind of music will you be doing on your CD? Just church stuff?

For me, as well, music is the language of religion, spirituality, attunement with spirit, our connection to highest. I certainly would enjoy a copy of your CD.

Through my music lessons I was put on tape to learn some of the things I was working on...I sounded terrible! In person, I am told people enjoy my voice! LOL

Cat has mentioned an attunement with music in spirit work. Nature itself is an attunement with the ultimate spirit of life. Hug a tree! Enjoy the beauty and perfume of a flower garden! All seems in divine order when we enjoy nature.

When it hasn't rained for several days, the grass spiders' horizontal webs blanket my prairie. In the dawn's sun, the dew drops sparkle like cut diamonds on a giant dream catcher. It's beautiful! Who would not find inspiration seeing it? Well, maybe a arachnophobic wouldn't.
