» Red - terrific fun...

Tina,

All of these things sound like terrific fun for the young or the young at heart. I especially would love to visit the farm and attend the Bug Ball. Your description of the farm reminds me of a place near here. They call it a petting park, but there are quite a few species of wild animals there, including wolves and cougars. They also have pony rides and picnic areas.

Thanks so much for sharing these wonderful places with us. I always enjoy your articles and this was no exception.

Hope it is cooler in your part of the world than it is here. Temperatures soared to over 100 degrees again today and it was very humid. Take care. I hope to hear from you soon.

to enjoy with your grandchildren, Tina. Sounds like great fun. I'd love it all - "big kid" that I am!

Like Jerri, I sure would enjoy all these attractions, Tina, if I lived in NH! Especially the farm with all the animals. Wonderful article, as always. Hope all is well with you! Renie

Hi Tina,

These are great suggestions for fun times with the kids. I'm sure children of all ages would enjoy the farm, even the name sounds enchanting.

This is perfectly timed, too, as it's about this time during the summer that time can drag a bit for some. Any of these outings would be a perfect cure for the summer doldrums.

Hope things are going well for you.

Linda

Hi Mary,
Thank you. Wouldn't it be grand to go to the Bug Ball? I got a big kick out of that. I bet kids love it.

I hope your temperatures have fallen! It's lovely here today. Is this unusual for Ontario to have such extremely hot, humid weather?

Take care and stay cool!!

Hi Jerri,
I think my grandchildren would love these places. Actually, my official kid scout, Zach, has been to both the Charmingfare Farm and the Amoskeag Fishways on school outings. He enjoyed both of them very much. My grandaughter probably wouldn't care for the bug stuff. But I bet she would love the barnyard animals!

Thanks for stopping by. It's great to have you visit!!!

Hi Linda,

I well remember getting into the summer doldrums, as a kid and when my children were kids. I think ever since the first school house, kids have been aching to get out of school for the year and then found themselves bored half way through the break!!

Thank you for your kind words -- I appreciate it!
I hit one of life's little rough patches that kept me pretty busy for a while, but things are easing up now. I hope all is well with you. smile
