The Shipyard That Got Away - Part 1Read the article this discussion is about

In response to message posted by Red:Hi Mary, I'm not sure how long we have to work before the paycheck belongs to us. I imagine it's pretty close to what you have! The gasoline tax and the cigarette tax are Federal. Then the States have their own taxes that include sales, services, etc. It sure is a nightmare!!! I'm surprised they don't tax those, since they cause them! LOL LOL I'm glad you enjoyed the article. Thank you!!! -- posted by Tina_Coruth » Tina_Coruth - Re: great article In response to message posted by Tricia_S:Thank you, Tricia! I appreciate it and it's nice to see you here. I hope you will visit often. I'm glad you enjoyed the article. Thank you!! -- posted by Tina_Coruth » Dubh_Sidhe - Off subject Tina, my computer is in the shop. Something burned out in the box and I am using the library's. I tried to get into my discussion and ed. discussion and was blocked out. Got in this way. I don't know how long I will be off line--hopefully not much longer. Would you please tell Beth my problem. I do have one more article ready for this Friday, but that is all. Thanks. I know how aggrevating it can be to wait for a computer to be repaired!! Take care. I think it's just so unfair when people who have nothing to do with the problem are the ones who decide the fate of others that are affected. Paying another state's income tax seems a bit unconstitutional to me.-- posted by SandyMcC » Tina_Coruth - Re: Boundary dispute In response to message posted by Janel831:Hi Andrea, I agree with you. Sometimes the rulings defy belief! Thank you for stopping by and commenting. I appreciate it!! Tina -- posted by Tina_Coruth » Tina_Coruth - Re: good story In response to message posted by SandyMcC:Hi Sandy, Thank you for visiting again. It sure seems unconstitutional to me, too. For some reason the phrase "taxation without representation" keeps running through my mind. I haven't been able to find more information. I wrote to Senator Smith, the Senator I mentioned who said he intended to present some legislation to deal with this problem. When I find out what happened, I will share it here. This is a mind boggling issue!! Thanks again, Sandy!
