Hi Tina, I think you are on the right track with these snapshots! I loved all the interesting, historical details, and the links are great. Wonderful article, as usual, Tina. Sorry I'm a bit late here, but my company just left early this morning. Now, I can catch up with my favorite writers at the Suite. Thank you for a most interesting snapshot! Hope you are doing well. Renie

» AnneWatkins - Great!

How very interesting, Tina! What a lovely 'virtual' tour I'm taking of New Hampshire, and enjoying every mile of it.

I especially like the 'tidbits' you've included and I hope you'll keep adding those interesting bits of trivia to the snapshots!

Looks like you're right on track to me. smile

Anne

Hope your Thanksgiving was the best ever!

» Ophelia40 - All those wonderful links!

Hi Tina,

This time of year is always so pretty up north. I like the fall season and winter, too. The pictures (and your descriptions) make me want to visit. Maybe someday I'll get the chance!

Happy Holidays!

Hi Renie,
Thank you! I appreciate and value your opinion. As I mentioned earlier, I was feeling hesitant about the snapshots, but I am feeling much more postive thanks to the support of people whose work I admire -- like you and the others who are posting here. :-)

As to being a bit late -- well, the birthday girl has good reason! LOL Sounds like you had a good birthday celebration. I certainly hope so!!!

Thank you again for your support. :-)

Hi Anne,

I'm so happy to see that you are enjoying the snapshots. I'm going to try to make the tidbits a regular part of the snapshots. As I just said to Renie, it means a lot to me read the positive comments about the snapshots from people like you whose work I admire. These comments of support have bannished my hesitation! Thank you!!

My Thanksgiving was very nice -- I ate too much! LOL I hope yours was terrific! :-)

I must say, that your wonderful articles about Holland make me wish I could visit. As you said -- maybe some day...

I also hope your Holidays are very happy! :-)

Hi Tina,

This is such an interesting article about a charming New England town. The photo of the town common from the bandstand made me want to visit, but the one flooded for skating made the want to wait for warm weather. It's beautiful in the snow but I don't like the cold.

You did a great job as always.

Linda

P.S. I did read your ladybug article and enjoyed it but got booted off the computer as I was posting a comment and just never got back to redo it. I never seen that many ladybugs at once. I like ladybugs but don't think I'd want them in my house. I thought it was very interesting about the imported ones.

Hi Linda,

I can see how the ice rink photo would give a person who doesn't like cold weather second thoughts! Although, with the warm weather we've had lately, I don't think there is any skating in Newport -- yet! LOL

Don't you just hate getting booted off the computer when your doing something? grrrr It drives me crazy. I have AOL and sometimes it just disappears. All of a sudden, I'm staring at my desktop!!

Anyway, back to the ladybugs. They are nice, but just when you think you have gotten rid of them all, you find another! I guess they are into cryonics because I found one in the refrigerator of all places!!! Yuk.

Thank you for stopping by. It's always great to see you -- and I appreciate your comments. :-)

Dear Tina

Living near Newport on the Isle of Wight, I looked up your article to meet a "twin." I thought we were historic but your article really amazed me.
The research, the photos, the wealth of links - I shall be back again and again.
