Tina,This article was mouthwatering good. It makes me crave the taste of fresh strawberries. My favorite is strawberry shortcake, but I certainly am going to try your strawberry rhubarb pie. Sounds delicious.
Glad you liked the signature I sent along to you and thanks so much for telling me how to add mine to my signature. It will sure beat copying and pasting each time. It was simple as soon as you told me where to find the option. Now my friend, we will see if it works.
Take care and thanks for the article that assures us spring is on the way. Our berries ripen about mid-June as well. The strawberry festival sounds like a lot of fun. We have maple syrup festivals and apple festivals but I am not sure about a strawberry festival. I will certainly look into it.

Hi Tina, love the recipe, and will try it. I have lots of wild strawberries growing in the meadow. They will be ripening in late April. For flavor, nothing beats the wild straberries.I enjoyed the article, as always, and love your new signature!

It's been many years since I tried. It's the kind of allergy where you feel your throat is closing up. I should try tasting a strawberry -- maybe the allergy is gone. I understand that can happen. Wouldn't that be nice!!!

Strawberry shortcake made with buttermilk biscuits is Dave's favorite. We don't have it often, but when we do, I put blueberries on mine.

I love anything strawberry and anything rhubarb - I have a rhubarb recipe in my article coming out on the 10th - great minds think alike!Our strawberries will not be ripe for another month. Rhubarb is ready though.

I really don't know how it would work with frozen strawberries. I'm guessing you would need more and it would cut the cooking time -- but then I don't know how that would affect the rhubarb. I'll have to do some searching. I bet someone out there has a recipe using frozen strawberries.
Speaking of searching, while I was doing some research for this article, I found out that Washington State is a Rhubarb Haven!! I look forward to reading your article. Great minds do think alike!! LOL

Once again, you have made me homesick. Only this time, you have also made me hungry!. I remember the food-reltaed festival at different times of the year (mainly, or should I say Mainely, seafood festivals along the coast) and wish I could be there for a nice piece of homemade strawberry shortcake.By the way, love the Tweety signature. I have to go, the fridge is calling to me, and it all your fault! There better be some berries in there.
